Tēnā koutou katoa,
I am writing to let you know that Michael Dudley will be stepping down from his role as Head of Operations at TechCollect NZ, effective COB Friday 29 August 2025.
After more than five years with TechCollect NZ, Michael has made the decision to relocate with his family to Melbourne. During his tenure, Michael has been instrumental in establishing our national pilot project programme, leading Aotearoa’s regulated co-design process, and delivering impactful projects with government agencies across the Pacific. His leadership and commitment have laid strong foundations for our work in regulated e-product stewardship. We extend our sincere thanks to Michael for his significant contribution and wish him and his whānau all the very best for the future.
To ensure continuity, our Independent Director, Dr Daniel Tulloch, has stepped into the Head of Operations role on an acting basis. Daniel has been closely involved with TechCollect NZ through his board role and brings deep knowledge of our strategy, operations, and relationships. Michael and Daniel have worked together on a comprehensive handover, giving us confidence in a smooth transition.
Please be assured it remains very much business as usual at TechCollect NZ. Daniel’s leadership will provide stability and direction as we continue to deliver for our members and strengthen our role in New Zealand’s circular economy.
We look forward to working with our members, partners, and stakeholders as we build on the progress already made and shape the future of TechCollect NZ together.
Ngā mihi,
Ming-chun Wu
Independent Board Chair
